Halal Expo Albania 2025 – Day Two’s Diplomatic Panel Unveils Vision for International Cooperation in the Halal Market

Tirana, February 22, 2025 – In a room brimming with energy and fresh ideas at the Palace of
Congresses, the second day of Halal Expo Albania 2025 was crowned by the Diplomatic Panel (3rd
Panel), where diplomatic representatives from various countries, ministers, institutional leaders,
and prominent private-sector figures shared their vision for the future of the Halal industry
in the region and globally.

The panel focused on three main pillars: harmonizing Halal standards at a regional level, facilitating
trade exchanges, and encouraging mutual investments. Ambassadors and consuls from countries
such as Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Turkey emphasized that structured
cooperation could turn Albania into a key reference point for Halal trade.

Participants highlighted that the Halal market is not merely an economic sector but also a
bridge for cultural and diplomatic cooperation. Successful models from other countries were
mentioned, alongside concrete proposals for bilateral and multilateral agreements to strengthen
the Halal supply chain, including certified tourism.

In conclusion, the diplomatic panel was seen as a clear example of economic diplomacy in action,
fostering trust, opening new trade opportunities, and building stronger ties between the public
and private sectors. This was a significant step toward positioning Albania not just as a participant
but as a leading actor in the development of the Halal industry in the region.
